I have the power settings set to NOT restart when the power is plugged in and NOT to go into sleep mode.
Even with these settings the laptop restarts randomly. I'll be writing code and it restarts. Its random.

We published new improvements and fixes for Surface Laptop 3 that improve device stability. You can get updates now by checking Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update. We recommend that you install these updates to keep your Surface performing its best.

Tried it, but unfortunately, my computer did the random reboot within an hour so still not fixed. It didn't make sense since this was a change to the audio coprocessor, but it was worth trying.

The device still restarts on its own. This is embarrassing and it is really humiliating that a Microsoft Agent can post a response and it would get accepted right away while the issue is still ongoing and has not been solved yet. Please refrain from giving false information.
This is the worst computer I’ve purchased. After 5 problem free years with my first Surface Laptop, I was excited to purchase another one. Now, I’ve had this less than 1 week and it has restarted 21 times while working. (Even twice while trying to write this!) I can’t get through a session with MSFT chat help without it restarting and I have had zero luck with their phone help. I can’t visit a store because they are closed due to COVID, so I have no choice but to return the laptop and go with a MUCH cheaper Lenovo or Acer. Microsoft’s complete refusal to help deal with the “lemon” computer they are selling has turned me from their biggest fan to never purchasing from them again. I will review everywhere I can to try and save other folks this problem.
