I have the power settings set to NOT restart when the power is plugged in and NOT to go into sleep mode.

Even with these settings the laptop restarts randomly. I'll be writing code and it restarts. Its random.

I have been having this same issue,  I applied this update and within 15 minutes my machine restarted without warning.  Apparently this isn't fixed.  Huge problem as it does this without warning and I lose all my work progress.

    Greg,

After experiencing a swollen battery with my Microsoft Surface Book, I had a choice to get a replacement that I would have had to pay $600 for (with a 90 day guarantee) or just buy a new computer.  I chose to buy a Surface Laptop 3 because I liked my last Surface and upon configuring my BRAND new Surface, I immediately had the same issue (random reboots).  The computer seem to be missing a lot of patches and SEEMED to be more stable after I installed all the updates, but alas, that is not the case.  I have only had my computer a few weeks and it still reboots at random and the ONLY application I am using at the time is Edge. Since I JUST set up this new computer, I do NOT want to go through the trouble of setting up another and would be happy to try and find a fix, but I can't even get logged on long enough to TRY the fix.  Here is what I am getting when I try and access the site to download the update:

Message: AADSTS50196: The server terminated an operation because it encountered a client request loop. Please contact your app vendor.

    Please help!

    Thank you
