Surface Laptop 3 Restarting Randomly

I have the power settings set to NOT restart when the power is plugged in and NOT to go into sleep mode. 

Even with these settings the laptop restarts randomly. I'll be writing code and it restarts. Its random.

Surface Laptop 3 15"

AMD Ryzen 7 Microsoft Surface Edition 2.30 GHz

16.0 GB RAM

We published new improvements and fixes for Surface Laptop 3 that improve device stability. You can get updates now by checking Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update. We recommend that you install these updates to keep your Surface performing its best.

    Is it fair to say that even with a replacement you're still likely to get these random crashes WITH THE AMD VERSION??

    If they swapped it for an INTEL version I think most people would be OK. I would certainly take that.

    ...correct me if I'm wrong but the general thread here is for the AMD version? It's the main problem case?

    Mine is failing to come out of sleep properly. Somedays it has just shutdown (from sleep) and I lose my work. Other days it is OK.

    woo hoo, got a couple of hours before it just rebooted.

    Was able to get a return shipping label in that time.

    At least all my source code is persisted in the cloud so I can just go back to the Surface 2 laptop that is falling apart. At least it stays on.

    Of course I have wasted about a day of my life getting content and applications setup on this laptop and will have to do that again with what ever I order next.

    And it rebooted less than 2 minutes after the previous post. I think I am just going to call tonight and return this thing.

    Just stop selling these, remove them from your store until you fix this issue.
