Is it fair to say that even with a replacement you're still likely to get these random crashes WITH THE AMD VERSION??
If they swapped it for an INTEL version I think most people would be OK. I would certainly take that.
...correct me if I'm wrong but the general thread here is for the AMD version? It's the main problem case?
Mine is failing to come out of sleep properly. Somedays it has just shutdown (from sleep) and I lose my work. Other days it is OK.
It certainly seems like the main culprit is the AMD set. Though I’ve seen a few sleep-resume comments from Intel chip owners.
I have major sleep-related issues with external monitors. They don’t wake right most of the time. I’ve turned off sleep and hibernate while plugged into power to try and avoid it, but something overrides the power settings and eventually forces hibernation.
It all has the feel of some inter-related set of display driver and power settings controls that break sleep/hibernate and cause random reboots.
