I have no sound on surface go

Hi

Followed threads to uninstall audio driver,.

I have no audio option in device manager, I also followed another thread that suggested you go go system devices and look for intel smart sound something but that isn't there either!

Troubleshoot doesn't work in settings but assume that is because there is no driver at all?

Any ideas?

Thanks

    Hello, Nat Matt.

    Welcome to Microsoft Community!

It has come to my attention that you are experiencing audio glitches with your Surface Go 2. (I hope I'm not mistaken about your model; you posted the issue in the Surface Go 2 board)

You have tried the Troubleshooting in Settings, and you are normally looking for audio drivers and other related things. Those are the correct things to try, and I'll move on to some possible suggestions for you next.

If the issue stems from the driver, we can try to manually get the driver and firmware installer for the Surface Go 2:

Download Surface Go 2 Drivers and Firmware from Official Microsoft Download Center

A driver update can often help us troubleshoot most of the potential driver issues or missing drivers.

After the download is complete, restart your Surface to observe if the audio issue is resolved.

If the problem persists after completing the update and troubleshooting of the drivers and firmware, then we will investigate further for possible hardware level failures. At this point, to help you get direct hardware support, I recommend getting in touch with the Surface Support team and sending your device to the Surface Support team for a hardware service.

I can direct you to Surface Live support, who can help you create a service order:

    1. Use your personal Microsoft account (not your organization account) to access the following links:

    Contact - Microsoft Support

    1. Type Surface, press Enter, and click "Contact Support" at the bottom:

    1. Select Technical Support and select the device model you are currently using in Produce family, then click Confirm:

    1. You will see contact options for Chat support and Phone support, please contact them during business hours:

I wish you all the best.

    Best Regards.
