Microsoft has not responded to any of the complaints about issues with mesh
routers or in general about when new drivers will be available. I wish I could
do more to help, but I don't have a solution.
Surface Book WiFi Connectivity
I am having a serious problem connecting my new Surface Book to the internet. When I bought it, it connected perfectly to by my home and office WiFi routers. After an update, however, it connected to my home internet, but it slowed to a crawl where it was basically unusable. Microsoft Support (Case No. xxxxxxxxxx ) had me change the driver and redo the updates. While this worked on my home WiFi system, I can no longer connect to the WiFi at my office, regardless of which driver I use. I am now connecting via a USB WiFi dongle. However, I lose my connection whenever I separate my tablet because it must rely on the non-functioning Marvell driver.
To say this is frustrating is an understatement. Although I like many of this product's features, it is basically useless to me without a reliable WiFi connection.
Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to fix this problem? Otherwise, I am going to return it, and I swear I will never buy Microsoft software again.

2020-03-03T02:19:17+00:00 It’s now back to .67 MBPS. This is incredibly frustrating.

2020-03-03T01:12:55+00:00 Thanks for your response. I e-mailed Microsoft Support, so we will see where it gets me. I fiddled with the adapter again, and I made a change in the Registry Editor. My speeds are now significantly better. The problem is that they were also good last night when I went to bed. When I came back home from the office today, however, the internet was crawling again.
PS-this is a new Surface that Microsoft sent me. Since it is having the same problem, I figure it is an issue between the adapter and my router. However, I shoudn't have to get a new router when everything else in the house works perfectly!

there have been scattered reports where other brand mesh routers, especially in
office environments have had similar issues. did you mention this in your open
support case? if not, you should re-open the case and make sure they have this
information. -

2020-03-02T03:07:50+00:00 Hi Barb:
Yes, I updated it many times. I currently have the driver ending in .57. It says it is the most recent driver, but it appears there is a better driver ending in .112? I was actually getting good speeds this morning, but now it is crawling again. Perhaps it is my router? I recently installed a Meshforce and everything else works perfectly, except for my surface.
