Surface Book WiFi Connectivity

I am having a serious problem connecting my new Surface Book to the internet. When I bought it, it connected perfectly to by my home and office WiFi routers. After an update, however, it connected to my home internet, but it slowed to a crawl where it was basically unusable. Microsoft Support (Case No. xxxxxxxxxx ) had me change the driver and redo the updates. While this worked on my home WiFi system, I can no longer connect to the WiFi at my office, regardless of which driver I use. I am now connecting via a USB WiFi dongle. However, I lose my connection whenever I separate my tablet because it must rely on the non-functioning Marvell driver.

To say this is frustrating is an understatement. Although I like many of this product's features, it is basically useless to me without a reliable WiFi connection.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to fix this problem? Otherwise, I am going to return it, and I swear I will never buy Microsoft software again.

Have you completely updated the replacement by going to Settings, Updates, and
    installed all available updates?
What is the driver version shown in device manager for the Marvell Wireless
    Adapter?

    Hello,

So, Microsoft sent me a new Surface but it is having the exact same problems. I checked the driver, and it says it is the most recent one. However, it is the driver that ends in .57, and I cannot find the one that ends in .58. At this point, I am fed up. I cannot believe they made such a bad product without a fix.

The driver ending in .58 is probably the most stable right now. .112 was

supposed to fix the issues with .110. Can you run winver and tell us the build

    number shown?

    Hi Druien77_KY,

    Thank you for your response.

After you'll try the 1st step Issdar suggested and still the issue persist, please try these steps before doing the Reset:

Open Device Manager, expand Network adapters

Double-click Marvell AVASTAR Wireless-AC Network Controller, click the Driver tab on top

Under Driver tab, click Update Driver

Choose Browse my computer for driver software > Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer

On the list of Marvell AVASTAR drivers, choose the 3rd on the list then click Next

After in installs, close the window then check for the Driver version if it change to a version ending in .58. If not, do it again then try the next Marvell AVASTAR on the list

Once you have the .58, close Device Manager and it will prompt you for a Restart: click Yes

After Restart, try checking again if device connects properly to your Wi-Fi or not

    Kind Regards,

    Marrion Y.
