Microsoft Refuses to Replace THEIR PROBLEM!!!

Microsoft is refusing to replace my Surface Pro 4 THAT THEY SENT ME. Long story short, I received a "new" (actually refurbed) Surface Pro 4 from them in December 2017 due to my first device being a lemon. Lo and behold, I'm now the latest victim of Flickergate. My screen is scrambled so bad it's become unusable.

I followed all of the instructions Microsoft gave regarding the potential solves to this issue, and then subsequently called Microsoft Support to set up my replacement process. THEY REFUSED TO REPLACE IT. Their only solution was that I pay $599 to "extend my warranty" and then they'll send me another device. UNACCEPTABLE! I was escalated to a supervisor who STILL REFUSED TO REPLACE IT. Again, this is a device SENT TO ME BY MICROSOFT. Not even one that I purchased, but what they chose to give me after their first failure. So can someone explain to me why I'm supposed to assume responsibility for a known hardware issue that isn't my fault?

We're in the midst of a nationwide quarantine, relegated to doing all work from our devices, and mine has become unusable. And while I thought I could actually get some relief during this crisis, Microsoft is refusing to own up to their mistake. WHY WON'T MICROSOFT EVER ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR PROBLEMS???

I AM SO SORRY YOU ARE EXPERIENCING THIS .... MICROSOFT HAS HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SUPPORT FOR THEIR CONSUMERS. I WENT THROUGH A SIMILAR ISSUE. I FILED COMPLAINTS WITH THE BBB AND THE INSPECTOR GENERAL OFFICE OF MY STATE ( BECAUSE IF IT IS NOT DOCUMENTED ITS LIKE IT NEVER HAPPENED ). FINALLY AFTER GIVING MICROSOFT ENOUGH TIME AND BEING TREATED BADLY BY THEIR OUT OF THE USA SUPPORT. I FILED MY COMPLAINT WITH THE SMALL CLAIMS COURT. I HAVE BEEN STRESSED AND TRAUMATIZED TO THE POINT WHERE I WILL NEVER BUY NOR ALLOW A MICROSOFT PRODUCT IN MY FAMILY'S HOME NOR WILL I RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.

LET THE COURT JUDGE ADDRESS YOUR COMPLAINT BUT DOCUMENT EVERYTHING SO YOU HAVE PROOF. WEATHER YOU WIN OR HAVE TO ACCEPT WHATEVER THE JUDGE RECOMMENDS IT BECOMES PUBLIC RECORD WHICH IS NOT GOOD FOR ANY BUSINESS. I WISH YOU THE BEST OF LUCK AND I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU......

    Hello,

I have been having this issue along with my touch screen and pen and keyboards not working properly.  I also had my Surface Pro 4 replaced by Microsoft due to the other one being defective, actually I had two other Surface Pro 4 that I returned that were defective.

I actually got some response from the last several out of country Representatives that only have the authority to say No to anything that you ask for.  I also talked to a so called upper Manager who also was trained to say No. He said that he was the highest Manager that Microsoft had and that I could talk to.

Anyway when I stated that my screen was shaking up and down and I could not see or use my computer they acknowledged that they new that they had a Hardware issue with the Surface Pro 4 and that they extended the warranty three years from the date of purchase.

They told me this of course after the three year warranty extension period.     I sent them a copy of about ten different service numbers of the issues that I was having with the Surface Pro 4 over the last three years when the extended warranty was still affective asking them to replace my defective device.

Now of course they want to sell me another refurbished piece  for $599 or give me a $200 credit towards a new device.

I asked the rep if he thought that I was stupid?

Why would I buy another so called refurbished computer from them for $599 + costs and get a 90 day warranty when I could buy a  brand new 5th Gen from Amazon for about $60 more and get a year warranty.

Why would I even think of buying another new Surface product from them and get a whole $200 off.  How stupid do you think I am.

I have also had three keyboards that were defective, two pens and I also was stupid enough to buy a Surface Go 2 for business with LTE (the LTE is a wonderfull option by the way if the device works) which I have been having issues with it and I have already returned two keyboards and I am on my third one now.  I had opened a return ticket for the Surface Go 2 which I am still using hoping that Microsoft would stand behind their defective Surface Pro 4 and send me a device that works so I can transfer all of my files and not loose them before I return the Surface Go 2.

I told the rep that I was going to go to these posts and see if we could get all of us customers that bought the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 pieces of  junk  computers and go against them.

I am going to write bad reviews where ever I can and post them.

I dont understand why they will not stand behind their equipment.

This is what I finally received from Jairo who said that he was the highest Manager that I could talk to at Microsoft.
