Ethernet connection keeps dropping on my Surface Book 3

Ethernet connection keeps dropping on my Surface. I have a wired ethernet connection and it drops often, regardless of periods of inactivity or pretty active.

None of the other computers in my house have this issue. Support thought it's the Surface Dock 2, but this also happens with Surface Ethernet USB adapter (less often, but happens). I can exclude the Router/gateway, cables, switch etc.

WiFi is working flawless.
What do I do to fix this?

I have the same issue; I've had the surface book replaced and the same problem. I purchased a usbc ethernet adapter and had the same issue. I've replace the layer two cabling and the same issue, and Microsoft still won't address this.

ok, that was it!!! after a whole day without ANY problem I would say "problem solved"

Thank you so much; and I really hope this driver glitch will be fixed asap. Wondering how the update survived the quality check

See this thread Windows 11 - Surface Dock ethernet issues - will not stay connected - Microsoft Community - there are others reporting issues with Realtek drivers.

ok, I read through it. So, I hope I understand correctly, but 2 things to do:

    1. Turn off "QoS Packet Scheduler"
    2. Download driver here: Realtek USB FE / GBE / 2.5G / Gaming Ethernet Family Controller Software - REALTEK

    Correct?

oh, I see; QoS can be on. I was able to roll back to 10.49.20.1102

    So far so good!
