Lockscreen Not Working

I'm pretty sure what you're referring to is Devices -> Mouse & Trackpad -> Press on the lower right corner of the touchpad to right-click.  I found it annoying too, and turned it off and it's totally fine.

Meanwhile, I too experience the issues mentioned in this thread (inset lock screen sometimes, and other times seeing the desktop flicker before the lock screen shows).  I don't think I've experienced never being able to dismiss it short of Ctrl+Alt+Del, though I have seen instances of a separate issue (and one not isolated to the Surface Book) where sometimes the keyboard doesn't work to slide up the lock screen.

I sure hope they're aware of and working on resolving this; doesn't seem like a very good sign when you've got multiple blatant lock screen glitches going on.  I don't think I've ever seen an earlier version of Windows get something like this wrong...

My Surface Book i7 512GB / 16GB does the very same thing shown by @AsherBerman, however it only does that after having closed the lid and going into sleep mode.  Opening the lid reveals the same screen shown:  smaller sized Lock Screen in from of the Desktop Login screen.  Clicking, hitting Enter, dragging up, etc. can't remove it...  the only thing that does remove it is Ctrl+Alt_Del - as soon as I do that, I'm at the login screen and can go on.

Then, having said that, all is OK, except that my desktop icons have been rearranged.  This is the only time that happens anymore.  Frustrating.

I have all updates applied.  I hope this is fixed soon.  I do have to say, my SB has come a long way since day one back on October 26th.  The constant updates have resolved nearly every thing else for me, except mouse taps still get missed from time to time, but that's also happening on my other Windows 10 machines.  Also, there's a right side area of the trackpad that seems to never register taps as a left click, maybe that area is reserved as a scroll-only zone that we can't turn off yet???

Just wanted to let you know, this issue may be fixed after the latest round of updates. I tried it today, and it seems to not cause the issue now....Although sometimes when I open the lid, it shows the desktop for a brief second before showing the lock screen, but when it shows the lock screen, it covers the full screen, not windowed like before.

Please restart restart the Surface Book. If that doesn’t resolve the problem, perform a two button shutdown and restart again.

ARE YOU DAFT? OF COURSE THAT DOESN'T RESOLVE THE PROBLEM! THE PROBLEM HAPPENS WHEN RESUMING A LOCKED MACHINE, NOT WHEN BOOTING!

This happens all the time. HUGE SECURITY HOLE. YOU CAN SEE MY WORK UNDER THE LOCK SCREEN! GET THIS PATCHED! NOW!

...honestly, it's as if these microsoft forum moderators don't even have the devices they're supposed to be trying to help us with...
