Thanks, Pim

The only direct link (that I'm aware) to report issues direct to MS software development is through partner/vendor channels which we as end users do not have access to.  Forums are moderated by help personnel whose general purpose is to guide people through common issues and report potential bugs.  We're asking for a change in design behavior.  I'm no spring chicken: MS doesn't make design changes willy nilly.  And for all we know there is some technical/licensing/patent related reason keeping them from adding a UI setting to allow us to disable this.  I continue to use IE over edge because of this behavior which gets in the way/slows down "power surfing".   Websites refusing to load in IE, redirecting to a page stating that I need to upgrade to a 'modern browser' to access the site are becoming more frequent, however.   I would have probably switched to firefox a long time ago but FFs handling of graphics memory makes for a 'choppy' experience on my particular laptop, but IE runs smooth.  So does Edge, the single reason I don't use Edge is due to this behavior which constantly zooms when I don't want it to and is more frustrating than anything.

I've had the same trouble when my son tried to play a game on the BBC website using the touch screen on my Surface 3.
