why surface duo shuts off randomly after installing updates?

Surface duo 1 shuts off randomly indicating low battery even after being disconnected from charging. I connect the phone to charge and it wont turn on. when it does turn on, it stays on for like 10 mins and then shuts off again, fully charged

Here’s how to request a repair or replacement for your device.

Note: Your device must be registered under your Microsoft account to submit a repair request.

1. Go to Device Services and sign in with your Microsoft account.

2. Select the device you want to submit a service request on.
3. Click 'Info & Support
4. Select Start Order and follow the instructions to complete the submission process.
