Surface Book 2 GPU Driver disappears randomly after May 2019 update

Hi, just recently installed the Windows 10 May update on my Surface Book 2. Now the GPU disappears randomly while in use. The only solution is to reboot the Surface Book 2, or go into the device manager and initiate a scan for the GPU to come back again. It has Nvidia Gforce GTX 1050 version 23.21.13.9140
Are there any plans for Microsoft to release an updated driver to fix this bug?

There are some updates that were pushed to PRODUCTION today https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4055398/surface-book-2-update-history You do NOT need to join Insiders to get these.
October 2019 updates

2019-06-24T20:05:02+00:00 This issue is a total disgrace for Microsoft. Customers of their top line of devices are totally left in the dark. We are now four weeks into the issue, and this is still not even listed as a known issue. The Surface Book 2 is now basically unusable for serious work for almost a month.
On top of that, Microsoft has the chuzpe to write this on the Surface 2 update status page:

I found a solution, suggested by user magchild on this Reddit thread:

The GPU power management is to blame. The solution is to install the latest Nvidia driver 430.86 INCLUDING GeForce Experience. After the setup finishes, you need to enter the Nvidia Control Panel and set the Power Priority on the Nvidia Card in the tab "3D settings" to "Prefer maximum Performance".
With this, I can run Premiere Pro using the GPU without the GPU disconnecting.
