Surface Book 2 GPU Driver disappears randomly after May 2019 update

Hi, just recently installed the Windows 10 May update on my Surface Book 2. Now the GPU disappears randomly while in use. The only solution is to reboot the Surface Book 2, or go into the device manager and initiate a scan for the GPU to come back again. It has Nvidia Gforce GTX 1050 version 23.21.13.9140

Are there any plans for Microsoft to release an updated driver to fix this bug?

There are some updates that were pushed to PRODUCTION today https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4055398/surface-book-2-update-history You do NOT need to join Insiders to get these.

October 2019 updates

    The stablest way now is to reset to 1809.

    My windows old was deleted already，so it's really difficult to make this decision.Still waiting.

    Well，may I ask if you have the problem that the battery always start using itself till about 80% after fully charged？That's an annoyed problem too（Sometimes I need to bring it out and found it only 80% after detach and reconnected）The computer still shows 100%，but if I disconnect and redo，it will change to 80，Then it keep charging to real 100%，then silently falls to 80 while still showing it's full，unless I detach the screen to physically refresh.

    I guess there might be a threshold been set（Get into UEFI and exit could solve，but now doesn't work）

    Damn Microsoft...

    I have the same issue with my surface book 2 1060 - try to load a game and game stalls and gpu disappears. I can go into device manager and scan to bring it back, but I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers both studio and game ready, and it occurs with both driver types.

    EDIT: Should we be installing all of those updates listed on https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=56261 ???

    EDIT 2: I've rolled back the 1903 update and everything works fine again

    Same issue here on a Surface Book 2, immediately starting with the update to 1903 (current build 18362.175).

    The GTX 1050 dGPU immediately and reproducibly disconnects as soon as it is used by any application (Adobe Lightroom Classic, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, VS Code with d3s visualisations, Chrome, etc.). 

    With the latest official MS driver (23.21.13.9140, dating back to 04/04/2018) the system is extremely unstable and it frequently crashes with a BSOD (reporting either nvlddmkm.sys or a TDR Failure).

    I tried to upgrade to the latest 1903-rated NVIDIA 430.86 driver, as well as to the 430.97 hotfix driver for Windows 10 1903. I now get fewer BSOD crashes, but there is no change of problem with the disconnecting dGPU. I also tried to wipe drivers and freshly reinstall the official MS driver, with the result that the BSODs are back. 

    The device is virtually unusable for work since 1903 and a fix is urgently needed, considering that this is the top-of-the-line MS device. Despite numerous reports in various fora since 2+ weeks, this is still not listed as an issue that is officially investigated or acknowledged, neither on the Surface update blog, nor on the 1903 update page.

    After the disaster with 1809, I would appreciate if Microsoft would more thoroughly test major updates - at least on their own devices running on their own latest, official drivers.

    The option to roll back is not offered anymore (why the arbitrary 10 day limit?).
