Hi, just recently installed the Windows 10 May update on my Surface Book 2. Now the GPU disappears randomly while in use. The only solution is to reboot the Surface Book 2, or go into the device manager and initiate a scan for the GPU to come back again. It has Nvidia Gforce GTX 1050 version 23.21.13.9140
Are there any plans for Microsoft to release an updated driver to fix this bug?

Just bought SF2 and have the same problem. I just cannot use it this way I wanted, because nvidea 1060 regularly stops working in high-performance app and app is crashing without saving work. Graphic core just doesn't provide enough performance for this software.
Is there still no any solution of this problem?
take a look at my message on page 28, probably this workaround should be highlighted somehow since is far more useful than the 'format all and reinstall an older version of the OS and wait, then wait...' solution provided by Microsoft
If you've just bought it - send it back.
Surface Book 3 is due out in a few weeks, if you want to risk it. Right now, I'd recommend jumping to Lenovo or Razer.
They don't use proprietary cards and run off standard drivers. Less risk. More productivity.
Interesting update on Surface Studio 2 (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4477038/surface-studio-2-update-history)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 – Display adapters
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 – Display adapters
When for Surface Book 2???
It's really absurd to find this bad support for a device in this price range.
Hope for a serious resolution!
