Hi, just recently installed the Windows 10 May update on my Surface Book 2. Now the GPU disappears randomly while in use. The only solution is to reboot the Surface Book 2, or go into the device manager and initiate a scan for the GPU to come back again. It has Nvidia Gforce GTX 1050 version 23.21.13.9140
Are there any plans for Microsoft to release an updated driver to fix this bug?

I'd take their word with a pinch of salt. We can only wait. Just as we have been since June.
With the amount of productivity I lost monetarily, I could have potentially paid for the SB3 with it.
i havent been waiting since june... had the issue months earlier... did extensive trouble shooting with their escalation team... submitted bug reports, diagnostic data, etc. spent something like 40 hours troubleshooting it... even if the issues did surface in june, thats still over three months ago! for me its been over 6 months of major issues. i cant even use my sb2 docked to a surface dock or it throttles down to .4ghz constantly.
Just bought SF2 and have the same problem. I just cannot use it this way I wanted, because nvidea 1060 regularly stops working in high-performance app and app is crashing without saving work. Graphic core just doesn't provide enough performance for this software.
Is there still no any solution of this problem?

Solution is to return it and not buy Microsoft
