Surface Book 2 GPU Driver disappears randomly after May 2019 update

Hi, just recently installed the Windows 10 May update on my Surface Book 2. Now the GPU disappears randomly while in use. The only solution is to reboot the Surface Book 2, or go into the device manager and initiate a scan for the GPU to come back again. It has Nvidia Gforce GTX 1050 version 23.21.13.9140
Are there any plans for Microsoft to release an updated driver to fix this bug?

There are some updates that were pushed to PRODUCTION today https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4055398/surface-book-2-update-history You do NOT need to join Insiders to get these.
October 2019 updates

2019-10-04T00:39:45+00:00 @Rafael, thanks for that idea--I'd missed that. I'll give it a whirl. If I could just get Photoshop and Premiere to work with it, I'd not mind... I don't seem to have throttling or battery issues, just can't use the expensive GPU without BSOD every 5 minutes!

What's more, I found my CPU has been locked at a speed of ~2.4GHz, which used to be at least 4.0GHz. Do you have the same problem on your SB2?

2019-10-03T16:34:29+00:00 I'm not excusing Microsoft's handling of this, but in case it helps anyone else on this thread, I just wanted to reiterate this workaround; it has solved the issue as described in the original post (i.e. the GPU disconnecting) for me and for others in this thread.
Note that others have complained about BSODs related to the GPU; I can't speak to that as I've never had that issue. I can only say that the following workaround SPECIFICALLY works for the GPU disconnecting.
