Surface Book 2 GPU Driver disappears randomly after May 2019 update

Hi, just recently installed the Windows 10 May update on my Surface Book 2. Now the GPU disappears randomly while in use. The only solution is to reboot the Surface Book 2, or go into the device manager and initiate a scan for the GPU to come back again. It has Nvidia Gforce GTX 1050 version 23.21.13.9140

Are there any plans for Microsoft to release an updated driver to fix this bug?

There are some updates that were pushed to PRODUCTION today https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4055398/surface-book-2-update-history You do NOT need to join Insiders to get these.

October 2019 updates

The following updates are available for all Surface Book 2 devices running Windows 10 April 2018 Update, version 1803 or greater:

    I went ahead and followed the new instructions for the Insider Program, installed the updates yesterday. No BSOD or hardware disconnect/reconnect chimes yet, but sure enough when I grabbed my SB2 this morning and checked the task manager it only lists the Intel GPU. After detaching and reattaching, the NVIDIA GPU shows back up as "GPU 3". I'm not very hopeful that this has solved the problems.

    I believe since Panos' promotion he is less hands on. It may also be worth reaching out to Robin Seiler and other members of the Surface team. You can "guess" their email addresses or find them on Linkedin and other social media.

    Thanks for the advice, Panos was just a starting point. I will try on several fronts ;)

    PS: In production I will NEVER enable the Insider version of Windows. I don't understand how it can be suggested as a solution ...

    Not to mention that Eddy does not appear to know which OS builds are in what Insider's ring. 1909 started rolling out in August to Release Preview. Makes me wonder how they even analyze results from "testing" with Insiders.  Surface should have their own test/Insiders program. Many of the people already joined to Insiders probably don't even know they are testing Surface firmware. 

    Exactly, and I'm a little stunned. I will try to ping Panos on Twitter, because it really is the seriousness of the product and its support.

    @JayJayReid In this Topic everyone's contribution is always important. So I have worked and work in the IT field, I feel it my duty to highlight some inconsistencies. Probably you have never worked in a structured work environment where it is necessary to manage a fleet with permits and so on.

    Diminishing everything does not help the discussion and would call into question many years of study to acquire the certifications in which the importance of not using non-definitive versions of operating systems is always emphasized.

    I think the community also serves to raise our level of knowledge through mutual contamination.
