Surface Book 2 GPU Driver disappears randomly after May 2019 update

Hi, just recently installed the Windows 10 May update on my Surface Book 2. Now the GPU disappears randomly while in use. The only solution is to reboot the Surface Book 2, or go into the device manager and initiate a scan for the GPU to come back again. It has Nvidia Gforce GTX 1050 version 23.21.13.9140

Are there any plans for Microsoft to release an updated driver to fix this bug?

There are some updates that were pushed to PRODUCTION today https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4055398/surface-book-2-update-history You do NOT need to join Insiders to get these.

October 2019 updates

    It appears that the Windows version 1903 (we were previously on 1803) update started rolling out in May and there have been two cumulative updates since then.  I've been working abroad since early May and only just reconnected my laptop to the internet two days ago.  Running Windows Update downloaded the new version and all of the cumulative updates in one go.

    Feasibly, your system may have updated to version 1903 (causing the graphics issues) 12 days ago and installed the two cumulative updates in the time between.

    Spoke too soon.  I spent a little more time going deeper into the forum and this is apparently a very prevalent and known issue (but not yet acknowledged by Microsoft for some reason).  There are two solutions:

    1. Download latest NVIDIA Experience software and adjust the settings to prefer maximum performance.  This means that any time the GPU is being used, it will spool the fans up all of the way and use maximum power, but at least the system shouldn't crash.  Not ideal.
    2. Rollback to Windows 1803.  This is the easiest as long as you're not more than 10 days past the update (though you'll lose the dark and light theme, for all that's worth).

    I rolled mine back and it's back to working properly.

    This was exactly what I did and do to reactivate the dedicated GTX GPU. But afterwards I have many disconnects of my monitor from the GTX GPU. Thereby my monitor gets black for 1-2 seconds, and this many many times in succession. This can then only be fixed by 1 till 2 reattachments of the screen and a restart of the Surface Book. After this whole process the Surface Book and the GTX GPU work fine for 1-2hours or till i need again much graphical power...

    I have been hading this issue already since 12 days and before I installed the latest windows updates. So maybe the Update isn't the real problem...
