Surface Book 2 GPU Driver disappears randomly after May 2019 update

Hi, just recently installed the Windows 10 May update on my Surface Book 2. Now the GPU disappears randomly while in use. The only solution is to reboot the Surface Book 2, or go into the device manager and initiate a scan for the GPU to come back again. It has Nvidia Gforce GTX 1050 version 23.21.13.9140

Are there any plans for Microsoft to release an updated driver to fix this bug?

There are some updates that were pushed to PRODUCTION today https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4055398/surface-book-2-update-history You do NOT need to join Insiders to get these.

October 2019 updates

The following updates are available for all Surface Book 2 devices running Windows 10 April 2018 Update, version 1803 or greater:

    I all, today I'm dealing with a serious problem with the 15-inch Surface Book 2.

    I'm on the newest Windows 10 Update (May 2019) which is causing problems for me and my colleagues when we attempt to run apps like Photoshop CC or other or similar that require GPU power.

    After just few seconds NVIDIA 1060 dGPU was disconnected from the system requiring a restart of the hardware. From my upgraded system from 1809 to 1903 to a clean installation of 1903 the issue also persists.

    I find it absurd that the official NVIDIA drivers for the Surface Book 2 are updated in April 2018 (so dated!).

    I know that a solution is reverting to an older OS, but for my work I need to use the last stable build like 1903

    Hope for a reply by a Surface Team member.

    I have another potential work around, in case anyone is having trouble with the Nvidia Power Management Mode option. 

    I've tried running - powercfg -duplicatescheme e9a42b02-d5df-448d-aa00-03f14749eb61

    from the CMD. I hoped it would give me the Ultimate Performance option in Power Management settings, but it seems to actually switch to it. As a result I've been able to set my Nvidia settings back to default and happily use 3DS Max, Photoshop, and Substance Painter without any issues. I'm NOT a tech savy person, but this seems to have worked for me, and it also means my battery isn't getting so hammered when not plugged in and using the Nvidia GPU. 

    I just thought I'd post it in case it helps anyone else.

    As what I experienced,.

    In fact, every time after the Photoshop or other software mentioned crashed and dGPU dropped, turn off the crashed software immediately to avoid being blue screened. Then open the software again, they actually run really stable.

    As others tested, the Nvidia driver seems to be dependable.

    Some users said that shifting the power management mode can made it work, may be problems are there？
