I'm tired of all these issues now. At first, a few days ago, I was working on this laptop and it shut down randomly. I switched it on, but again it shut down randomly. In 20 minutes, this happened thrice. I tried something, and then it worked fine for a day. Then today again, it is happening. The diagnostic kit says there's nothing wrong. Please help.

Any word on this? I just purchased a Surface Pro 7 without knowing about this issue and it's doing the same thing - shutting down randomly and frequently whenever it isn't plugged in.

I have exactly the same problems with my Surface Pro 7. When running on battery, the screen starts to flicker. After that, the screen is dark but not off. It is so dark that you can only see with extremely bright backlight that something is still pictured. The Surface stops responding to input. This happens three to four times in 20 minutes.

I'm having exactly the same issue. Shuts down after ~30 seconds of being idle (even at 100% battery), but works perfectly normally when plugged in. Let's hope MS finds an answer...
