New Surface Pro 7 shutting down randomly

I wanted to update that I monkeyed around with the sleep settings, and so far it seems to have helped with random shutdowns.  I tried "never" and the battery heated up and the system froze and wouldn't turn off.  I let the battery run out, and then all was fine.  I now have the sleep and screen settings at "1-hour" and the network setting at "never."  Battery doesn't last as long, and I may try reducing the 1-hour setting, but hasn't randomly shutdown since.  Fingers crossed.

Bro, this method you tried (runing out of battery once), how is it so far?

I'm tired of all these issues now. At first, a few days ago, I was working on this laptop and it shut down randomly. I switched it on, but again it shut down randomly. In 20 minutes, this happened thrice. I tried something, and then it worked fine for a day. Then today again, it is happening. The diagnostic kit says there's nothing wrong. Please help.

Another victim here, Sigh, i wish i saw your message before i bought last week online ! My pro 7 same problem when unplug the idle. (when charging seems no problem, could be battery issue?)

Unfortunately no solution available. Even worse no one at Microsoft is listening. The stores are closed. I raised a ti ket on the microsoft website and surprisingly they closed the ticket, saying the machine is repaired. My worst ever purchase and I will not recommend anyone to buy this product.

Bro, now i'm trying some funny, because i saw some of the reply earlier that if turn on the music might different? then i drag some of the mp3 to the windows media player to create a playlist and play continuesly, so far lasting for half hours already?? i'll keep trying and follow up. (my usually auto-shut down time between 30 seconds to 5 minute)

if this work, i may just turn on music and minimize the window and continue with my work if i need to bring it out without charger??? sigh

I wonder if Microsoft will let us know if or when they figure this out.
