I need to point out that the Intel Graphics app everyone's talking about here has changed, and that particular setting about "panel refresh" isn't anywhere to be found!

I'm tired of all these issues now. At first, a few days ago, I was working on this laptop and it shut down randomly. I switched it on, but again it shut down randomly. In 20 minutes, this happened thrice. I tried something, and then it worked fine for a day. Then today again, it is happening. The diagnostic kit says there's nothing wrong. Please help.

2020-05-07T12:54:55+00:00 I've been working with Microsoft technicians for a while. They don't know what's going on. As usual, when a bug is found, they remain silent until they found a solution, if they found it. The fix will come in an update where no announce will be made that the problem was fixed unless you read deep down in the documentation. I suggest you to return the surface. I'm stuck with mine since it is 2 years old.

2020-05-07T12:39:55+00:00 My surface pro7 is 3 weeks old, and I am having the same random shut down problem. It also gets very warm . I have done all the updates, I have tried the forced shut down as recommended, and it is still happening. Clearly this is a significant problem, so when can we expect a fix? I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with this product and am ready to return it.

2020-05-07T10:44:02+00:00 Yes this is exactly what I am doing as a temporary measure. Have been playing Spotify continuously on the background especially when I have to leave the Surface on Idle. I realised that this issue really sucks especially when I am working and have to leave my surface for a moment to take a phone call and it automatically shuts down after a minute or so. Hopefully Microsoft fixes this issue soon
