I'm tired of all these issues now. At first, a few days ago, I was working on this laptop and it shut down randomly. I switched it on, but again it shut down randomly. In 20 minutes, this happened thrice. I tried something, and then it worked fine for a day. Then today again, it is happening. The diagnostic kit says there's nothing wrong. Please help.

On our Surface Pro 7's we have finally found what was (one of many factors) causing the random shutdowns.

We run Trend Micro "Worry Free Business Edition" (haha) ... Turns out, running Windows 10 build 2004 with Trend causes the random shutdowns when sleeping. remove Trend, SP7 is perfect.

Has been given back to Trend to sort out but for the time being, we are no longer using Trend.

I have the same issue but mine with the surface plugged to the docking, I get a blue screen with a message that information is being sent to MS and then it shuts down and restarts. Some times it shuts down without the blue screen it just started to do this a month ago and shut down three or four times a day. I got my surface pro 7 last December

Contact Microsoft technical support. They may be able to fix the problem though you appear to have the same problem i had and they could not fix my computer. They had me return the Surface 7 and sent me a new computer.  This took about 7 days from sinfing it back until i received a new computer. This one works fine!
