I got this message 30 mins after creating the account and loading 100$ into it,

"Your access to Microsoft Advertising is currently blocked

We have detected unusual activity in your Microsoft Advertising account. As a security precaution, we have suspended your account and blocked your access.

You can no longer sign in with this user name or email address.

To resolve this issue, please contact Support."

I have never used microsoft ads before, this is insane. I feel like they robbed me of my money. I didn't even do anything.

When i contact support they say they cant even tell me what the issue is.

Can someone please help me resolve this issue?

Thanks,
Matt

I agree, news coverage would be great. Also a mail campaign to the head of the department, Yusuf Mehdi. He is on LinkedIn.It pays to go straight to the top.

Personally I think this is a form of discrimination. To withhold services from paying customers without giving them feedback so they can correct errors, if any. It's just plain stupid.

It appears to be a coding flaw in their A.I. as to why so many people's new accounts are getting banned or terminated.

These generic responses from Microsoft are a slap in the face; they know full-well that there is not an actual human being going through these applications to start advertising on their platform.

What they can do is, is get a team of people in their tech department or hire a coder to evaluate the bad coding that seems to be populating with these issues so people can actually use their platform, correctly.

That is if they value their consumers, which Microsoft clearly does not.

I say just try using Google Ads instead.

The same thing just happened to me. I just wanted to know why I was blocked. I asked by chat, phone, and email and they all said the same thing "they are not allowed to inform and my account is permanent blocked". I barely started setting up my campaign and I didn't have any ads running yet. The person from the chat said if I try to open another account it will be block again. What? Unfortunately Microsoft is banning new advertisers. More people for Google Ads.

Clearly something is wrong, this is the response I got:

Based on our investigation, your account will remain closed. For privacy and security reasons, we cannot provide details around your specific account closure, but the account was determined to be high risk to other customers or advertisers, as stated in ourEditorial GuidelinesandTerms of Use.

I went through theire guidelines and terms and couldn't find anything that would have remotely applied to my case.

I'm begining to think my account is "high risk" because I would be creating competition in my space and these bans are to protect the larger companies.

I have never been banned from anything in my life - this is just laughable at this point.

I just experienced the exact same issue. I loaded $100 was setting up an ad campaign and saw it was denied. I figured I’d check again the next day to see what the issue was; tried to login and received the same error message you described.

I called a few times no one can tell me anything and apparently my refund is on the way.

No appeal process just too bad so sad, no opportunity to have a discussion to see what the issue is and how to fix it, just kicked to the curb.

This is a legitimate small business operating since 2010!!

I was was really upset at first but now I’ve just put the money I would have spent with google; I was hesitant to spend it with bing to begin with even with the promotion ; but this entire situation is just so incredibly unacceptable I’m not even going to look back.

I searched to see if this has happened to anyone else and came across this.

I will not spend any advertising dollars with bing ads ever..

I'm angry that this is happening but relieved that I'm not the only one.

I just started a consulting business and would like to run ads for my business and on the behalf of my clients.

I entered my personal and business information, kept the default "ad" that it created and when I entered my payment information I was told there was a mismatch. I tried 3 other credit cards and all came back with the same message. I know my cards are accurate as I was copying and pasting the information from my digital vault.

While in the middle of the application I reached out to chat with an agent and they come back and tell me that my account is banned and the decision is final. They tell me that there was a review and no appealing this decision.

Now mind you I was probably 5 minutes into the setup process and this chat took place maybe another 2 minutes later. So tell me how is Microsoft able to do a comprehensive review of my website and predict what my ads are going to look like to come to this decision?

I argued with the agent but like all of you I ended up with the usual, "we can't provide details" but I know this is all bullcrap because there is no way any review was completed in that short period of time.

Of course there is nothing on my site that violates their policies as I cater to professionals so my content has nothing questionable.

Well I wanted to give MS a chance here but I guess Google will win out again.

Anyone have any success getting behind the wall and actually having someone perform a manual review and admit they're mistaken?
