Hi,

I'm building a desktop app using WinUI 3 in C++/WinRT (no XAML, code-only approach), and I'm trying to create a text input experience where users can type words, and once they hit space or Enter, that word turns into a token or "chip."

Think of it like the chat input in Microsoft Teams, where a selected name or mention becomes a visually distinct token that behaves like a single, atomic unit. For example, the token can’t be partially edited. When the user presses Backspace, the entire token is removed in one go.

User's image

Is there any native support in WinUI 3 for this kind of behavior? Or would this require building a custom solution to get the desired experience?
