Compute Instance - Standard_D11_v2 - Not displaying "Cost"

2025-06-27T01:15:20.5166667+00:00

I just started with Azure Cloud for Machine Learning. I noticed that certain compute instances are not having "Cost" attribute displayed when I try to create one. Example: Standard_D11_v2. If you can educate me on why this is not displayed or whether I am not looking correctly. Appreciate your support and advice.

I appreciate your attention to detail in identifying the missing cost information for certain VM SKUs.
I also have investigated and below is the screenshot of Compute instances in my ML Workspace. I understand this is due to SKUs like DS11_v2 and D13_v2 are older and might still be usable but lack cost metadata due to limited Azure support updates.

These virtual machine sizes are a previous generation series. While older VM sizes are supported until further notice, we recommended using newer generations for improved performance and security. Check out the sizes overview's list of VM size families by type for a selection of newer sizes.

For accurate pricing, we recommend using the Azure Pricing Calculator: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/machine-learning?cdn=disable#pricing

Hope it clarifies!
