Windows 11 control z short cut stopped suddenly

My control z function has stopped working. This happened two days ago and I did not install any new software during this time. My other control shortcuts (f, c, v, etc) all work and have no issues. I am unsure what has caused this and would love any insight as to how I can fix this. Thanks!

Hello @Alice Farrer ,

Where were you using the shortcut before it stopped working?

In other to be sure, try the following:

  • Open Word or any office application, type something, then press the shortcut to see if it works.
  • Try doing the same thing using notepad or any text editor.
  • Try copying something from say the desktop to another folder, then press control Z to see.
  • You can even delete something to the recycle Bing, then press the shortcut to see.

Alternatively, we need to be sure that Z is working without issues. So, try typing Z somewhere and see if it works.
