If you're seeing the TF80070 error while trying to open Azure DevOps work items in Excel using the Open in Excel option, it usually points to a problem with the integration between Excel and Azure DevOps. Please try below steps to narrow down your issue and troubleshoot better-

Close Excel completely and clear any cached files used by the Team Foundation plugin. Go to:

C:\Users\<your-username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Team Foundation\<version>\Cache Delete all contents inside the Cache folder. enter image description here Reopen Excel and try again. Sometimes the Team Foundation add-in gets disabled: Open Excel -> File -> Options -> Add-ins Look for Team Foundation Add-in. enter image description here

If it’s disabled, re-enable it. Outdated or corrupted credentials or plugins can cause this issue. Open Windows Credential Manager. Remove any stored credentials related to Azure DevOps or TFS. Try connecting again, Excel should prompt you to re-authenticate. Compatibility issues between versions often cause unexpected behavior. You can refer to this documentation -Resolve common Azure DevOps Office integration issues - Azure Boards | Microsoft Learn Hope this information was helpful. Thanks.
