Network file sharing not working between Windows 11 & Windows 10

I just don't understand why Microsoft doesn't have a fix for this issue! From all of the comments it is a BIG problem. Why should one have to be a computer engineer to attempt to resolve what appears to be a simple networking problem between Win10 & Win11? I have tried everything that I can understand and possibly think of between all 4 machines (1 Win11 & 3 Win10) without the Win10 machines being able to see the Win11 machine. The Win11 machine can see all 3 Win10 machines. I Have had a network of 2 laptops and 2 PCs for 20 years and never a problem like this between different Window Editions. Unless there is a simple answer in the near future, I may go back to Win10 on my brand new Win11 PC - what a shame Microsoft! Is there an answer that someone with a modicum of computer knowledge can use to resolve this issue? Thanks to anyone who can help.

This seems like an ongoing Windows 11 problem.

I installed 3 Win 11 Pro systems along side 3 Windows 10 systems.

All computers appear when I open the Network Folder

The Win 11 systems can access the Win 10 system shares, but none of the computers can access the Win 11 system shares.

Always get the Windows cannot access error code 0x80070035

Hours of web searches and two hours of Microsoft Support and problem not fixed.

Last MS recommendation was to do an in place reinstall of Windows 11.

Seems a bit extreme to fix a network share access problem.

Anyone find a more focused direct fix for this problem?

During new Windows 10 / 11 setups, you are immediately prompted to create a PIN and therefore you never log in to Windows with a password, so it is not cached anywhere. The resolution is to turn OFF Windows Hello, log in with your password to get it cached, then you can turn on Windows Hello again:

Open Settings > Accounts > Sign-In Options

Additional Settings > TURN OFF "For improved security, only allow Windows Hello sign-in for Microsoft accounts on this device"

Close and re-open Settings > Accounts > Sign In Options. A Password option should now be available (under the Security Key option)

Click Password, and you will see "You're all set up"

Press "Windows Key + L" to lock your computer, and unlock using your account password

Re-enable Improved Security option if required

Your share should now be visible on your network. I have tested on a new Windows 10 and Windows 11 build and both shares are now visable to to all other machines on my network (on Windows anyway - my Android phone can not see the SMB share unless I enable SMB1, but thats another issue!)

I also have 1 laptop with Win11 and one Desktop with Win10. Have tried multiple items such as removing the windows credentials from both devices, redoing the network sharing without success. Every time I click on the network to enter network credentials, the system displays "The username or password is incorrect" before I even enter any information. This issue started after the last windows update. The only way around this issue is by using OneDrive which is not the best solution.

Yes, thats already been done, we have tried re setting up the network shares but for some reason the 2 win10 pc's cant see the win11 pc on the network, but the win11 pc can see the other 2 win10 pc's
