Remote Desktop Gateway frequent disconnects after KB5040430

After installing KB5040430, we are seeing issues on the Server 2019 Remote Desktop Gateway on RDS.

All users get disconnected approximately every 30-60 minutes, and the following is logged in the Application log on the RD Gateway:

The system was operating normally before the Windows Update.

What steps can be taken to resolve this issue please?

    Hello,

    Not fixed for me on a Windows Server 2019 :

    the service crashes and restarts alone, the period between crashes is no longer stable but the problem is still present after update and restart of the server

    Thanks Julien, sorry to hear that. Just checking on this Reddit thread, I see others are experiencing the same today, i.e. the problem has not been fixed in the update. Really hoping MS can sort this out soon.

    The September CU doesn't seem to fix it for Server 2022.
