RDP licensing problem

Hi,

my friend has license windows server 2022 and rdp license. windows server license works well. but license of RDP didn't. i've already install and activate the license and input serial number on RDP licensing manager, and shows 500 device CAL. but none of them occupied by user device

they are still using 120 days default until end of it. and RDp didn't worked.

can somebody pls help me explain?

    It looks like you have the RDS CAL installed and activated, but the local client does not have a licensed CAL(still within the 120-day grace period).

    You can try the following steps to troubleshoot the problem:

    1. Ensure proper network communication between the RD session host and the RD license server. You are advised to run the ping command or other network tools to check the network connectivity.
    2. Ensure that the RD license mode is correctly configured:

    On the RD session host server, open Server Manager. Navigate to Remote Desktop Services -> Overview. Check the RD License section to make sure the license mode matches the CAL type you installed "by device". You can upload a screenshot of RDS License Manager information so that we can analyze issues related to CAL.

    1. On the RD session host server, open Server Manager. Navigate to Remote Desktop Services -> Overview -> RD Licensing Diagnoser. Check for any error messages or warnings. This determines why the Licensing Manager has not assigned the CAL to the device.

    do you mean "but the local client does not have a licensed CAL" should i buy CAL for client? or client can't get license from server?

    1. RD session host and RD license server on the same machine (same ip address)
    2. do you need me to inform the serial number of license so you can check?

    i've already uninstall the license before. now i found the difficulty to install it again.

    fyi the license under the name Prima Jasatama Globalindo
