I've already 3 different servers (Win2016-Win2022-Win11) that have LPD Service stopping/crashing after applying July Updates with CVE-2024-38027

Anybody else with same problem? Removing Updates solved the problem but it's not the ideal solution.

I uninstalled KB5040430 on Friday. it has now installed itself again over the weekend.

There's no GUI way to change the install method, I just have an option to pause future updates.

Can anyone recommend how to skip this update for now.

Saves me having to constantly have to restart LPD service with KN5040430 installed.

and MICROSOFT, WHERE IS THE FIX !!!!!

    R.

We have the Same issue, by changing out the LPDsrv.dll in C:/Windows/System32 with an older version of the .dll file, it resolves the Issue. Microsoft did in fact made an oopsie in this Version. We really need this service to work and hoping on an quick fix.

    Hallo,

we have the save LPD issues with Windows 11 Computers. First Print-Job works then the service crashes "unexpected". Uninstall the Update then all works.

Info: German Language OS (unfortunately this information is probably necessary)

    Regards,

    J
