I would like to create a Microsoft tenant for free, and I followed these steps:

Sign in or Create a Microsoft Account: I signed in with an existing Microsoft account or created a new one if needed.

Join the Microsoft 365 Developer Program: I clicked the "Join Now" button to register for the program and filled in the required personal information.

However, I received the message: 'Thank you for joining. You don’t currently qualify for a Microsoft 365 Developer Program sandbox subscription.'

I assume this means I cannot create a tenant, so I would like to know if there are any other ways to create a free tenant. Could you please provide guidance on how to proceed?

Sandbox tenants are currently limited to eligible Visual Studio Subscriptions only, as detailed in this article: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/visualstudio/subscriptions/vs-m365#eligibility

You can instead sing up for a free trial: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2260943&clcid=0x409&culture=en-us&country=us
