Is it possible to shorten a Microsoft Teams URL?

Microsoft Teams URLs are really long and not that pretty. We send them out in a text message, and they look very overwhelming and in fact not that trustworthy.

Can they be changed, either programmatically or somehow else?

What if you don't have option to insert a link - MS List URL field doesn't have that option and limits number of characters so that MS Teams post links can't be entered.

What if you don't have option to insert a link - MS List URL field doesn't have that option and limits number of characters so that MS Teams post links can't be entered.

If the link is too long, insert the link as shown in the following image. You can customize the display text and then insert links.

This works with one link at a time. Im looking to automatically and programmatically shorten the URL before it is being sended out with a text message.

According to our research, there doesn't seem to be official documentation for programming ways to shorten links to Teams.
