In SharePoint Online, i can select multiple files and click "Download", however, in SharePoint 2019, when i select multiple files, no "Download" button found, is it a known issue in SharePoint 2019? How to download multiple files at one time?

I have the same problem to solve but don't have a 'library' tab to access the Open in WE. Using Sharepoint on 365. Any help gratefully received!

Hi @Andy ,
In SharePoint 2019 environment, when multiple files are selected in the document library with modern experience, then there is no download option. It is by design.
Here are steps to download multiple files at one time in sharepoint 2019：

First switch the document library to classic mode：Library setting->Advanced settings->Classic experience
Download multiple files from SharePoint 2019 document library by using "Open With Explorer" and it only works in IE.

I'm experiencing the same issue as Andy, but I cannot change the "Library settings" as you've suggested in your solution. I have over 100 files in a folder I'd like to download; it's so easy to upload multiple files at the same time, yet so difficult to download them... How do I download multiple files from SharePoint?

OOTB this is not possible.

There are SharePoint apps that offer this functionality: download multiple files as individual files or combined into a zip file.
See example https://www.slimapplications.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/explorerSP2019DownloadFiles.png

Using 3rd party apps is of course is only relevant when there is a structural demand to download files.

"Open with Explorer" requires IE or the configuration of Edge on the local computer. There are also apps that provide windows explorer functionality in the browser (link).
