Storsimple 7020 after 31.12.2023 Will the data still be accessible?

Hello,

we have still one old Storsimple 7020, will the data on it still accessible after 31.12.2023? This Storsimple is already EoL bout 3 years now. But still working.

I know that Storsimple 8000 series ends this year so will be 7020 cut off as well?

Storsimple 8000 series ends this year so will be 7020 cut off as well? Yes( We don't parts, No security updates for this series. I would strongly recommended to upgrade)

StorSimple 5000-7000 series is reaching end of Support in July 2019. The customers who are running StorSimple 5000-7000 series have an option to upgrade to other Azure first party hybrid services. This article describes the Azure hybrid options available to migrate data.

Support for this product has ended. StorSimple 5000/7000 Series

Options to migrate data from StorSimple 5000-7000 series

Azure StorSimple 8000/1200 series will no longer be supported starting 31st December 2022

Hi Ros,

StorSimple 8000 series will reach its end-of-life in December 2022. Microsoft provides a dedicated migration service for StorSimple 8000 series volumes and their backups. To avoid data loss, it's imperative that you plan, test, and complete your migration as soon as possible. I will suggest you to carry ou the migration asap and without risking the data loss.

Migration is currently an assisted operation. If you intend to migrate data from your StorSimple 5000-7000 series device to an 8000 series device, you need to schedule migration with Microsoft Support. Microsoft Support will then enable your subscription for migration. For more information, see how to Open a Support ticket.
